How To ALMOST Bike The Entire Kokopelli Trail
In early October, two friends and I decided to bike the entire Kokopelli Trail from Fruita, CO to Moab, UT in three days. The trail is 158 miles long and bikepacking.com claimed it was 99% rideable and just a 6.5/10 in difficulty.
After getting absolutely whomped on day two by 7,000 feet of elevation gain and dozens of miles of completely unrideable trails, we decided to slightly alter the trip and make day three a little less soul (and ass) crushing.
Would I do this trail again? Probably not. Would I do an equally ridiculous, painful ride in the future? Absolutely.
